My oldest daughter at the age of 13 came to my birth of her younger sister. Then my youngest daughter at the age of 16 attended a water birth with me and was the first to hold the baby, and she even cut the cord! My mum birthed my twin siblings naturally and my oldest sister also birthed twins naturally so we have some very strong birth blueprints within our ancestral lineage!
I am so very honoured to have been invited to be present at 4 births, such a beautiful experience and incredible reminder of how amazing women’s bodies are in their ability to birth new life. To witness the birth of a child is our best opportunity to experience the meaning of the word ‘miracle’.
After the arrival of my 1st grandchild in 2017, I became inspired to learn more skills to promote positive birth outcomes for women. I knew how important it was for the mother to prepare physically and mentally for her upcoming birth and that if a woman feels confident about her birth, positive and without fear, it has a direct influence on how she births.
Hypnobirthing has become more popular in childbirth preparation for this reason, with focus on the body-mind connection and that birth is a natural process that our bodies know how to do. Birth is a unique and personal experience and preparing using Hypnobirthing is about creating our own best experience.

I am fortunate to have known Deb Savage for many years and have been treated by her during this time. Prior to falling pregnant, I saw Deb for massages and healings on a regular basis. During my pregnancy, I have seen her for pregnancy massages, a birth release and participated in an online labour preparation session with my partner. Throughout my time knowing Deb she has been someone I go to for relaxation, to recharge, for clearing and grounding and for advice and education.
My partner and I participated in a birth preparation class with Deb at 34 weeks pregnant with our first child. Given the current circumstances surrounding us, Deb was able to provide us with an online platform so we did not have to miss out or enter our labour feeling anxious and scared. She was flexible with this and sent through all materials that we would need prior to the class. The class included information, practical examples and hands on strategies about the hormones of birth, contractions, stages of labour, roles of responsibilities of your support person, the birthing environment as well 2 meditations and opportunities for questions and answers. My hubby is not usually one to do classes or anything like this, (he hadn’t even done any antenatal classes) but he had no hesitation doing the class with Deb. His exact words, “I feel like I have a better understanding of my role during labour. Deb gave me extremely helpful tips that I can use to help my partner through labour. After doing the class with Deb I feel more prepared and am very grateful for what she taught me. This was the first time I did meditation and I really enjoyed it. She helped me to relax and connect with my partner’s pregnancy. I would highly recommend Deb and her class to anyone”. After participating in this class with my hubby I feel as though I have more faith in him to support me during the birth of our child. I was worried about how he would cope during it all but after doing the class with Deb he has been asking questions, offering massages and practicing techniques. I am excited to tackle childbirth with the strategies, resources and education Deb has given me. I love that even after our class she continues to check in with me and keep me in a positive mindset about birth.
Our beautiful Baby boy arrived 1 week early! It definitely wasn’t the birth experience that I “wanted” or anticipated, but we still were very grateful for the strategies we had learned with Deb, the focus on breathing and affirmations.. We welcomed our little boy via C-section.. here and safe we are in Love ♥
Ps. Sometimes the little ones come through the sun hatch!
Misty & Nic VBAC Birth (2nd bub)
Another pregnancy, another birth and another bubba, supported by the beautiful Deb on our journey for the second time. Given our last birth experience we were really hoping for a successful VBAC this time. Even though we had already done an online hypnobirthing with Deb for our previous birth preparation, we had the opportunity to attend in person this time and I knew if I wanted a VBAC my best opportunity to do this was through further education and mental preparation.
Completing the course was different this time. Our mindset was different, it allowed us an opportunity to connect as a couple, to connect with baby and also internally (we have a toddler at home). Deb provides a beautiful welcoming space, a range of engaging activities that tap into different parts of the brain that cater for multiple learning styles, and overall leaves you feeling prepared, connected, relaxed and excited for birth. Leading up to labour I used the hypnobirthing tracks provided to us, hubby used the light touch and massage techniques when I needed them and I created a vision board with an activity we did during the course and affirmations provided to us. The tracks and breathwork became a daily ritual and on the days nearing labour, I tapped into them even more. My whole labour experience was so different this time. I felt relatively calm, in control, determined to get my VBAC empowered and informed. I started the day listening to Deb’s calming voice, watching the sunrise and having a cup of tea.
Before I knew it I was on my way to the hospital with the tracks still going, focussing on my breathing techniques that Deb had taught us. Hubby was able to remind me to breathe through the surges when I’d get caught in a moment. When arriving at the hospital and things were ramping up I remember him massaging and applying pressure in the hall way and me thinking wow he actually listened for once. Throughout labour, when things were pretty intense I remember asking hubby to “put debs voice back on”. Little did I know at the time, the tracks were playing the whole time and I was in such a relaxed state I didn’t realise. I recall dropping in and out of relaxation and resonating with different things being said. I still felt so calm through the whole process. Hubby supported me the best he could. He was my hero that day. He applied all the techniques Deb had taught him and had we not have done the course again, I don’t think he would have been in the headspace to fully support me how I needed to be supported for my VBAC. Deb was one of the first people we shared our news with. She played such an important role in the success of our VBAC and continues to be a part of my motherhood journey. We are so grateful for the things she taught us, the connection we have and her presence in our lives. Welcome little Jaylen, my healing baby.
Total labour time – approx. 10 hours, pushing time – 22 mins. Just over 4 hours at the hospital before birth! We did it!! Thank you!

I decided to attend Debbie’s Hypnobirthing class while pregnant with my first child, to reduce my anxiety about giving birth. Debbie has such a lovely calm energy and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our classes with her. As a result of working with Debbie and meditating daily, I felt very calm and well prepared through the later stages of my pregnancy. The birth of my daughter had some challenges, but overall I felt so grateful and proud to welcome my baby girl into the world. My husband implemented everything we learn’t and was such an amazing support to me. I am so grateful for having done Hypnobirthing and Meditation with Debbie, I highly recommend it.
We are ecstatic to announce the arrival of our precious baby girl this morning at 6.30am weighing 3.5kg
We are still deciding on a name. We are tired but doing well and totally in love.

Debbie Savage was pivotal in my birth preparations. Weekly massages with Debbie during my third trimester reduced my stress level and eased sciatic pain, back ache, also neck twinges. My partner and I did a Hypnobirthing class with Debbie and it was so very helpful for our mental preparations and for ways my partner could be really supportive during my labour. Debbie’s advice for birthing and mothering was welcomed by me, a first time Mum. I recommend Debbie to anybody seeking healing hands in such a positive space.

I had been practicing basic mediation techniques on a daily basis for the past year or so when I found out I was pregnant with my first child/son. I would usually do a little 15 minute meditation routine each morning at home. I felt the simple relaxation meditation helped my state of mind especially around the 6th month mark of the pregnancy, when the reality of the birth set in and I started feeling anxious about the labour and what to expect. I was given a gift from Debbie Savage around this time of a Hypnobirthing book and cd. I read some of the book and gained an understanding of what Hypnobirthing was about and then began using the cd as my daily meditation music. I found it so very helpful for my state of mind. I found the cd informative/relaxing all in one in regards to helping me breathe and visualise my own birth. The voice was calm and soothing, guiding me through a labour scenario that made it all seem manageable, straight forward and easier to focus on my breath and feel relaxed.
I also listened to the cd with my husband during labour at home while I was having early contractions after my waters broke. I managed to stay at home until I was 7cm dilated with a quick hospital check during that time. I had our little boy naturally about 2hrs after getting up to the hospital, with just my husband and my midwife beside me in a nice quiet room. I do honestly feel the Hypnobirthing material played a large part of me having a calm and straight forward labour and pregnancy, I feel very blessed to have been given a very valuable tool to cope with all the new challenges I faced during my first pregnancy-especially my anxiousness of labour! I would highly recommend Hypnobirthing to all mothers to be! ♥

Massage and Sound Healing
This was one of the best massages I’ve had (and I’m 71 yrs old so had lots of massages). I felt that Debbie quickly got in touch with my needs on every level and used her many skills intuitively to relax, heal and reinvigorate me. I’ll be booking another session.
